How to Attend
The Philadelphia Society’s semi-annual meetings are private, closed-door, invitation only meetings following the Chatham House Rule. Official meeting invitations are issued by The Philadelphia Society.
All Society members in good standing are invited to attend each meeting and are able to recommend guests. Guest recommendation forms are located in the online member portal.

Guest Attendance
Non-members may attend meetings of The Philadelphia Society only as the guest of a current member. Please contact a current member to request to be recommended for invitation.
Fellowship Attendance
The Philadelphia Society offers competitive fellowship programs to support meeting attendance of graduate students, young scholars, policy analysts, journalists, attorneys and business professionals. Current undergraduate students are not eligible for Society fellowships.
Applications open about 10-15 weeks prior to each scheduled meeting, with awards communicated 8-10 weeks in advance of each scheduled meeting.

Student Group Attendance
The Philadelphia Society has close relationships with a number of academic and internship programs around the country – such as the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal, Hillsdale College, John Jay Instiute, The Heritage Foundation, Grove City College, Institute for Humane Studies, and others – who regularly sponsor attendance by undergraduate and graduate students.
To receive the student group discount, an organization must have at least 3 student fellows. Student groups receive a discount off the guest meeting rate. The organizational sponsor receives recognition from the podium and on the guest list.

Please note that fellowship and student attendance does not count towards membership. Prospective members must attend as a paid guest at least once before they are eligible to apply for membership.*
*This requirement increased to attending two meetings as a guest as of January 1, 2026 in order to be eligible to apply for membership.
